The purpose
It is the last project we did with the school, we had to pick a client, in this case Blue Note, and build a complete project around it. I chose to create a book that traces Piano Jazz history with the purpose to give a new look to the traditional Jazz visuals, therefore, targeting a younger audience.
The design
Seperated into different chapters, the book goes through Jazz styles such as Swing, Bebop, Hard-Bop, Free Jazz... Each chapter has its design and color. Mostly done in 3D with Blender, the abstract visuals also are an interpretation of what the music feels like and give a sense of rythm and movement.
